About Us

Proyecto Peru Ingles works with community members in Cusco to improve opportunities through English education. We specialize in private classes for adults working in tourism and also we work with children and adolescents through our partnership with a local school.

The Job Position

With this position as an English Teacher and Operations Assistant you get the opportunity to work both with students and behind the scenes. You will assist in all types of activities, from supporting students in their classes, managing our weekly English Night activity, to helping create tourism and hotel curriculums, and more. Moreover, in this position your schedule will be flexible, depending upon classes and operational tasks.

Your main activities will consist of:

-Teach private classes to clients

- organize the weekly English Night Activity

- support in implementing student and client evaluation

-support in implementing teaching evaluation

- support in administrative work such as curriculum development, maintaining student files, and managing social media platform

What We're Looking For:

-Native English Speaker

-Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in education

-Must be TEFL certified or willing to complete certification program within one month

-Experience teaching, working with children, and working with diverse communities

-Pre-intermediate Spanish or higher is strongly preferred

-A commitment to at least one year

- A social and open personality

- Skills in Flexibility and Adaptability (cultural differences!)

- A genuine interest (and related study) in education, quality management, customer service, languages and/or organization and management

- Skills in planning and organization

-Experience with curriculum development

- Be proactive and take initiative!
