Product Support Engineer III - Deploy OnlySierra Nevada Corporation is a trusted leader in innovative, advanced technology solutions and open architecture integrations in aerospace and national security.If you have an affinity for complex technical systems, excellent communication and product troubleshooting skills, and enjoy working collaboratively, we may have the perfect role for you!As a Product Support Engineer (PSE), you will be using your skills to maintain and sustain full mission operability and capability of Tactical Radios, Windows workstation software, multivendor network switches, along with domain/windows administration tasks. You will also be heavily working with Line of Sight (LOS) and Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) systems, SIGINT consisting of COMINT/ELINT, RADAR sensor systems, and performing pre-flight, inflight, and post-flight duties.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Provide Aircraft maintenance support in a high OPTEMPO environment, meeting or exceeding required Mission Capability (MC) rate at an overseas location.Interpreting manufacturer and internal manuals, drawings, technical references, and CAMPS documents.Maintaining aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts.Work on complex technical problems to provide solutions.Compliance with all Security Protocols on and in support of Aircraft Operations.Experience with circuits and wiring assemblies and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently.Perform simple tests such as continuity checks.Install and integrate wiring, and termination in accordance with system requirements.Ability to terminate various coaxial, circular, and MIL-SPEC connectors.Have good hand-eye coordination and be able to use a variety of standard hand tools including crimpers and soldering irons.Knowledge of proper ESD controls.Windows/Domain administration tasks.Patching of product specific systems.Must be detail and quality oriented.This is a Deployed rotational position.Must-haves:Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 4-6 years of relevant experience.A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.Related experience, including military training, may be considered in lieu of required education.Advanced experience with the practical application of SIGINT, COMINT, and ELINT.Advanced experience with RADAR systems.Comprehensive experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).Comprehensive experience with Windows Server, Virtual Machines (VM), and networking.Comprehensive experience with Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) communications.Comprehensive experience with RF Theory and testing equipment.Experience with encryption equipment and materials.Troubleshooting capability.Experience with building, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of cables.Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Project).Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and flexibility.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and conflict resolution skills.Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices.Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required.Must be willing to travel CONUS off rotation to perform Training, Medical, and Certification renewals.An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required.U.S. Citizen with U.S. Passport.Valid Driver's License.Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations.Preferred:Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.DoD 8570 compliant (Or have the capability to obtain within 6 months).Experience with Domain Administration (e.g. GPOs, User Accounts, and System Accounts).Experience with RAID Controllers.Created documents for Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting steps for system equipment.Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification with no prior FAA violations.Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+.Basic understanding of Spectrometer, Oscilloscope and/or Field Fox.Experience with working with and maintaining tools and tool inventories.Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures (FGOP).Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military Operations.Previous OCONUS deployment experience in remote locations.Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.Provide support in a high OPTEMPO environment, meeting or exceeding required Mission Capability in austere conditions.Candidates hired for this position will be subject to a post offer, pre-hire, pre-deployment medical assessment.
