Job Schedule: Full timeJob DescriptionAs a Production Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate employees who assemble parts, components, or electrical units at floor stations.
You will prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product.
You will ensure conformance to established procedures and product quality levels.
You will identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and supervise repairs as necessary.Responsibilities:Studies production schedules and estimates worker/labor requirements to complete job assignments.Interprets specifications, drawings/blueprints, and job orders.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Resolves manufacturing issues and assists workers with work problems.Maintains time and production records.Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.Enforces company policies and safety regulations.Confers with Sales and Purchasing regarding lead time, delivery, and BOMs.Reviews and monitors workers' performance and attendance.Qualifications:Associates' Degree in Business or related field preferred; experience can be substituted for degree.3 years of supervisory experience in a plant and manufacturing environment required.3 years of quality and LEAN process understanding and ability to implement required.Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations where only limited industry standards exist.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Mathematical Skills: Concrete understanding of numbers in relation to all units of measures, ratios, and percentages.Knowledge of Microsoft Office and demonstrable skills.Strong knowledge of manufacturing and quality processes.Wesco International, Inc., including its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Wesco") provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
