Description
The Assistant Head-Student Care is responsible for the well-being of the students and members of staff. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure a supportive and effective learning environment.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategic
1. Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Head of Section, Curriculum Coordinator, Assistant Head – Academic Care, Section Psychologists, Learning Support Teachers, and Class Teachers.
2. Engage with parents on issues related to student social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
3. Work with external support personnel, including therapists, doctors, and educational psychologists, with parental agreement.
4. Manage, evaluate, and review student care, development of social skills, and inclusion of specific values in the curriculum.
5. Coordinate all Service Learning projects across the section.
6. Collaborate with the Section Leadership Team and the School Senior Management Team.
7.
Ensure a thorough understanding of the policies and procedures of the Section and the School.
8. Lead and guide the Section in the absence of the Head of Section.
Qualifications Required
· Degree relevant to the post (Certified/Master in Education/Psychology).
· Further degree relevant to the post (Masters degree).
