B518) : Director of Center for Language StudiesJob Purpose: Train professionals who meet the profile of skills necessary to function in various languages, thus promoting personal, academic, and professional training at the level defined in the terms of our institutional mission, competent and with a global vision.Functions:Directs and coordinates the activities and measures required for its proper functioning in the teaching:learning process of English as a foreign language in the undergraduate program and CPEL.Supervises the operation of the Cambridge Examination Center to guarantee international standards.Plans the operating plans to be presented to the Academic Vice Chancellor to establish the objectives and goals of the program.Plans the correct number of blocks per level of English to supply the demand of students of all careers.Plans the creation of additional free courses to ensure the profitability of the products.Plans the evaluation of bilingual competence to ensure the level of the students' language.Develops the study plans of the courses in charge and informs the related areas about the projects to modify the study plans and receive the opinions that they wish to express.Evaluates the level of English in teacher applicants to obtain the required academic level.Supervises the administrative and academic quality procedures to ensure the educational level and the satisfaction of the students with the program.Assists students and/or parents when they require it.Actively participates in actions to attract students and ensure the good image and prestige of the program, to support commercial management.Coordinates with the Deputy Director of Curriculum Management the updating of the material available at each level and the curricular plan of studies on a semester or annual basis.Directs the Bilingual program and elective courses at the Center for Language Studies to meet student demand.Prepares and presents the new programs and supports the Departments Annual Budget Plan to the Academic Vice Chancellor, subsequently presenting it for the approval of the Finance Vice President to optimize resources.Requirements:Native English speaker.Minimum master's degree in areas related to the specialty: education, teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL), etc.Minimum 5 years of experience in similar management positions.Specialization/certification for teaching in virtual environments, syllabus design, and use of ICTs.Benefits: Medical Insurance (EPS) covered 100%, Training.
