Who are we looking for? Our client is seeking anexperienced Business Development Lead to manage the transactiondevelopment / procurement process through to financial close forBuild Own Operate Transfer (BOOT), Build Own Operate (BOO), andother relevant outsourcing models across all sectors includingpower, water, midstream assets, pipelines, real estate and servicesprojects.
The Specialist must demonstrate the ability to work withand lead multidisciplinary teams in complex third-partytransactions as a client or bidder.
The role will also includesupporting other departments in pre-feasibility and feasibilitystudies determining the viability of future third-party projects.
Minimum Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in BusinessAdministration,
Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or itsequivalent is required.
Advanced professional competence evidencedby professional licenses and other forms of continuing professionaleducation. - 12 years of relevant experience in businessdevelopment.
A foremost expert in business development will possessrelevant industry expertise and will have solid experience inproject development, BOOT / PPP / DBFO projects, project financetransactions, and joint ventures.
- Proficient in oral and writtenEnglish. Key Responsibilities - Fully familiar with thePPP / BOO / BOOT concession models and the steps needed to close aproject including drafting solicitation of interest, finalizing andissuing the request for proposals, conducting job explanationmeetings, managing a bid process, conducting negotiation sessionswith the Bidder, managing the bid review team to review the bids,bid evaluation and selection, and the financial close process.
- Fulfill role as a "Transaction Lead" with responsibility for eachphase of the transaction to financial close.
- Manage transactiondevelopment / procurement process from early economics analysisthrough to financial close.
- Determine the scope and objectives ofthe transaction, offering commercialized solutions to meet thebusiness requirements.
- Coordinate internal subject matterexperts' groups (Law, Finance, and Corporate Planning / ManagementServices) to ensure transaction progress.
- Lead multi-workstreamevaluation and review developers' submitted proposals. - Preparethe transaction approval documents at each stage of the transactionand manage the required functional review and approvals.
- Supportpre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical,financial, and marketing viability of new initiatives.
- Work withinternal organizations and external investors to promote newbusiness opportunities. - Provides administrative direction asrequired to the transaction teams.
- Prepare job performanceappraisals, and recommend job promotions. - Capable of analyzingcompanies, performing industry sector analysis, and interactingwith external financial advisors, lenders, and environmental,commercial, and technical consultants.
- Understand and comply withthe Company's Third-Party Transaction guidelines. - Formulateeconomic / financial models for complex business proposals.
- Leadthe development of business offerings packages to potentialdevelopers. - Lead screening of the potentialdevelopers / consortiums.
