Mys Ctsm Kl: Custody Operations Asset ServicingJob Description: The Assistant Vice President position provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models, and plans within the area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Generally has responsibility for volume, quality, and timeliness of end results and shared responsibility for planning and budgets. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Full supervisory responsibility, ensuring motivation and development of the team through professional leadership to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, and terminations as well as direction of daily tasks and responsibilities.Responsibilities:Manage reconciling and processing positions related to Security Services products such as Asset Services, Mutual Fund, and Treasury Reporting.Revise communications, notifications, and facilitate postings for Asset Services events.Identify, summarize, and accurately capture all incoming instructions.Reconcile, organize, and distribute all transactions relating to asset services, ensuring actions are processed effectively and within established standards in the markets.Provide support to all operational processes within the unit to ensure timely and accurate execution of client instructions meeting agent, depository, and counter-party deadlines.Liaise with Depositories, Agents, Trustees, and Issuers in each market to obtain requested clarification/detail understanding of complex Corporate Action events and processing details/requirements.Prepare weekly/monthly metrics on department's performance including detailed analysis of any processing, system/industry issues or enhancements.Perform causal analysis on processes to continuously identify gaps, improvements, and system enhancements.Monitor MIS reporting relating to corporate actions, processing accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.Act as the initial point of escalation for problem resolution.Assist management in system enhancement functions, provide feedback on Business Requirement Documents, and participate in user acceptance testing as needed.Develop and maintain processing procedures and oversee the execution of controls required throughout the life cycle of voluntary events.Prepare and participate in department client presentations.Provide input on performance of staff to management and other duties as assigned.Able to support non-standard working hours and Malaysia public holidays.Qualifications:5-8 years of relevant experience.Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.Education: Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
