Job Title: Controller & Compliance Officer
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Ensures local compliance requirements for the local subsidiary are met in accordance with law 30424 from 2017.
- Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, in particular related to Finance and Compliance requirements for Peru, and contributes to complex projects, exercising independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
- Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements, establishing policies and providing training related to Peru local compliance requirements.
- Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives,
providing insight into Peru's local legal requirements.
- Represents the Compliance function during cross-regional or cross-functional planning processes.
- Provides support and guidance to respond to local requirements, partnering with other internal organizations and external vendors.
- Collaborates with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
- Represents the organization to external customers, stakeholders and clients.
- Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Education and Experience Required:
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, compliance, or a related field.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
