You will work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects internationally. As an expert in geochemistry, water quality assessment and management, you bring scientific/technical mastery, sophisticated regulatory understanding, leadership skills, business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit along with a keen interest in growing and evolving the business, leading teams, and mentoring staff.About the role:Work closely with our multi:disciplinary team of practice leaders providing support on large, international mining projects, mainly in South and North America.Conduct geochemical characterization studies on tailings or waste rock and link those to expected groundwater and surface water impacts or risks.Supervise reception, compiling and data processing of water quality data, geochemical (static) data, or kinetic data.Help draft proposals, be involved in business development, panel reviews, workshops and review work.Develop and maintain key client relationships andsupport growth of the team and business.Support project design, permitting and environmental assessment of diverse projects by contributing your expertise in geochemistry and water quality assessment and management, ideally within the mining sector.Work seamlessly with multi:disciplinary teams, including hydrogeologists, hydrologists, biologists, and engineers.Provide expert support and advice within and outside of the organization.Mentor and develop staff.About you:Recognized as an expert in geochemistry / water quality with a dedication to and passion for your discipline.Minimum of 15 years of experience providing waste and water quality management services within the mining sector.:Professional designation in Brazil, or equivalent professional designation in South America.Consulting acumen, including an entrepreneurial spirit, strong self:direction, and overarching belief in client satisfaction.Strong people skills and an ability to work in a team environment.Experience in leading, mentoring, and training staff.Experience with any of:GoldSim, PHREEQC, GWB, Leapfrog, ARCGISProven verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.About usWorking for Ausenco means you won't settle for the status quo:you'll be part of a forward:thinking, culturally diverse organisation.
