Please indicate if you require any special accommodation, even at the first interview.JOB CONTEXT:In Peru, Humanity & Inclusion has been present since 2019, implementing different projects: Inclusive Disaster Risk Management (BHA - 2020-2022), Protection Assistance to migrants and refugees (ECHO - 2020-2023), Inclusive preparedness, effective response (ECHO-2021-2022), Technical assistance in inclusion (WFP-2022), and Strengthening access to health services for the integration and protection of migrant, refugee and host populations in vulnerable situations (GIZ 2023-2024).HI is currently working with USAID funds (2024-2026) in Loreto in the gender and climate change sector, with PRM funds (2024-2026) in assistance to the migrant population in Lima, Ica, and Tacna with activities in mental health and psychosocial support and sexual and reproductive health. We will soon start a new intervention in the region of Huanuco with populations with disabilities, native communities, and climate change.HI in Peru is in the process of growth and currently has 2 offices: a central office in Lima and another for project management in Loreto (Iquitos), with a new office in Huanuco expected by the end of 2024. The team is projected to grow to 17 people.YOUR MISSION:Reporting to the Regional Director, the Country Manager contributes to the implementation of the mandate and 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion in the country where s/he is based. S/he ensures optimal quality and impact of the projects implemented in the country by means of a delegation system with appropriate oversight mechanisms. The country manager manages a team of project managers in his/her country.Mission 1: Management, strategy and directionContribute to the development of the operational strategy of the program, as well as its implementation and annual monitoring in the country.Serving as Role Model and coach for your team, you contribute to organizational transformation. You communicate the organization's strategy, encourage innovation, and facilitate inter-departmental collaboration. You also play a crucial role in organizing operational management, ensuring performance, and fostering staff development while upholding the organization's code of conduct and policies.Mission 2: Standards and expertiseEnsure deployment and compliance with HI global frameworks, institutional policies, and standards.Mission 3: Operational implementationEnsure the sound management and monitoring of projects under his/her responsibility.Keeping both potential opportunities and risks in mind, contribute to the monitoring and analysis done by the line manager, and propose mitigation measures where relevant.Act as the legal representative for the whole of HI internally/externally and foster an excellent reputation and positive image of HI in the country.Develop HI's external influence (forums, operational and strategic alliances, etc.) and the external representation of the organization (events, media) in the country.Coordinate the teams in the country.Support the Program Director in monitoring security in the country and ensure adequate resources according to the context.Mission 4: Emergency Preparedness and ResponseLead the emergency preparedness actions in his/her department and, in the event of an emergency, reorganize the priorities of his/her team according to the humanitarian priority to ensure a quick and efficient response by HI.RequirementsYou have at least 10 years of overall experience and at least 2 years as Country Manager, Operations Manager/Area Manager, TUM/THoP or Deputy Country Manager.You have proven experience in managing emergency response programs, development, and armed violence reduction actions.You have experience in risk management (safeguarding of beneficiaries, security, finance, donors, etc.).You understand the objectives and contents of transformation projects (simplification, leading change, management, etc.).You have experience in multi-cultural and multi-sector team management and leadership, both on-site and remotely; you possess the capacity to analyze (geopolitics, environment, relations) and do ethical positioning, to negotiate and represent an organization.You practice and promote autonomy, collaboration, and initiative.
