Job ID: 21086- Offshore Wind- Permanent- Asia- Our client is a fast-growing offshore wind developer, leveraging its unique expertise and hands-on experience in both bottom-fixed and floating offshore wind project development. The company is a pioneer in emerging offshore wind markets and is looking for a Head of Technical to join their team in Metro Manila, Philippines.The Head of Technical will be the key technical lead across all client's offshore wind projects in the Philippines, developing, executing, and monitoring each project's business plan to achieve strategic and financial targets. The individual will report to the Philippines Country Manager, providing regular updates regarding the latest developments of the work packages, including project management, key performance indicators, communication, and project development. Work streams the role will be leading include but are not limited to: Health, Safety, Logistics, Technical, and Operational aspects.The individual will also work closely with the company's corporate technical team as well as the corporate commercial team in Headquarters to ensure regional synergies are achieved.Role RequirementsDegree educated in a relevant technical discipline with training in project management, budget estimation and control, contract, and contractor management.Strong preference will be given to an individual with experience in developing and delivering offshore wind, offshore oil and gas projects or marine operation contracts. In the absence of this, an individual with a strong track record (at Project Manager/Director role) in onshore renewable (e.g. onshore wind) will be considered.Extensive project development and program management experience.Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, guidance, and best practice.Exceptional team and business leadership skills.Strong technical understanding of the various work packages within an offshore wind farm project.Commercial acumen and experience of budgetary control.Excellent communication skills both internally and externally with experience of dealing with a variety of stakeholders and organisations involved in the development and execution of an offshore wind farm.Experience in performance management and the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.Comprehensive knowledge of the offshore wind environment, legislation, and employment practices.Proven ability to identify and win business opportunities.Ability to build and maintain a network of suppliers and technical partners.Proven leadership skills and managerial experience, with an ability to build and develop teams and to motivate individuals.
