The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.Job Summary:This role is responsible for overseeing the Civil construction activities related to Civil activities of crossing piping, which includes stormwater management and civils work. This position involves providing technical support and supervision to the appointed contractors, ensuring that all construction activities align with the project's Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) plans, quality standards, and schedule requirements. Will maintain effective communication and relationships with stakeholders and the general public throughout the project lifecycle.Major Responsibilities:Coordinates with engineering on constructability & design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite.Establishes a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Lead Discipline Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables.Liaises with craft supervision within their works area daily on any issues on works not being completed correctly. Reports any construction issues to their supervisor immediately and assists in their close out (e.g. constructability, safety, quality, progress compared to program).Monitors construction activities to ensure they are completed as per approved quality plan, ITPs, procedures and the latest IFC drawings.Checks all materials being used at site are compliant to project specs and requirements.Monitors that all changes to the works follow the correct process in the form of RFIs and FCDs prior to site implementation.Monitors assigned contracts to ensure contract remains up to date in areas such as drawings, specifications, cost and schedule.Implements controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment and to ensure that other corporate programs are fully utilized.Coordinates with the Lead Discipline Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer for any work related to contract administration and activities affecting the contract administration operation.Education and Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with 8-10 years of relevant experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:Experience in construction of large-scale, industrial and mining projects.Knowledge and experience in the implementation of ES&H and quality management systems.Must be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills to maintain a positive work environment between all parties including the client, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.Self-motivated individual with ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment, with a passion to take ownership of projects and provide sound technical leadership to contractor's staff and field engineers.Willingness to work in a camp in the city of Cajamarca at 4200 above sea level in an atypical regime.Diverse teams build the extraordinary:As a global company, Bechtel has long been home to a vibrant multitude of nationalities, cultures, ethnicities, and life experiences.
