Head of Secondary - Lima Metropolitana - InspiredInspired Lima MetropolitanaCambridge College Lima has been offering a first-class international education for over 30 years, combining high academic standards with opportunities to excel in sports and the creative and performing arts.Located in a protected environment with ample green space for sports and outdoor activity, our school prides itself on a balanced approach to education, focusing on academic excellence, sports, and the arts.The educational philosophy shared by the Inspired group of schools is founded on a dedication to excellence, integrating innovative, challenging, and enriching academic, performing arts, and sports programmes.We are now looking for an outstanding Head of Secondary to join our team from February 2025, to lead the development of the Secondary school, and ensure pupils are prepared for iGCSEs and IBDP examinations.Advises and consults with the Headmaster on all aspects of the Secondary School.Deputizes in the Headmaster's absence.Supports the headmaster in the recruitment of Secondary teachers.Leads the development of the Secondary school.Evaluates and leads the academic development of the Secondary School and monitors academic standards for both progress and attainment.Leads Key Stage 4 and ensures pupils are prepared for iGCSEs.Leads Key Stage 5 and ensures pupils are prepared for IBDP examinations.Is responsible for entries, exam administration, and results.Sets ambitious and aspirational targets for the school.Establishes school policy and procedure, ensuring Inspired policies are adhered to and standards maintained.Is an exemplary teacher (on a reduced timetable).Encourages, supports, and advises Heads of Departments/Subject leaders.Ensures the safety and welfare of pupils by implementing our Safeguarding, Health and Safety, GDPR, and other related policies.Fosters team spirit amongst the staff and offers support, encouragement, and guidance when needed.The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in a British or British international school, a PGCE/QTS, or international equivalent, strong IB experience, and IGCSE experience.They will also have the ability to work collaboratively in a 3-18 years school, understanding and empathy, effective communication, and being a good Spanish speaker would be an advantage.Inspired Education Group is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers, and other third parties to share this commitment.
