Lycopodiumis currently recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our growing IT team in Lima, Peru.
Reporting to the Service Operations Team Leader the IT Support Technician will work collaboratively with personnel across all business units whilst providing exceptional customer service. They will also be a first point of contact for technical support for all Lycopodium staff and the physical IT contact in the Americas.
The tasks you'll perform
Provide IT support in person, remotely and over the phone striving to exceed customer expectations.
Create tickets, log all helpdesk interactions, and ensure follow-up actions are carried out efficiently effectively and timely, in accordance with relevant procedures.
Identify and escalate ticket activities requiring urgent or further technical attention as required.
Prepare all new starter computers and replace any computers as needed.
Follow existing documented procedures and document any new procedures as needed.
Maintain the asset register and document all changes to assets.
Ensure all software issued to the business is correctly licensed and managed in the software asset register.
Provide support with IT or related projects, within the organisation as required by the IT Manager.
The expertise you'll bring
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
Current working knowledge of computer software and hardware fundamental operations specifically Windows 10 and Microsoft Office/Office365.
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Highly desirable:
Knowledge and understanding of basic networking infrastructure, switches, cables, etc.
