MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPost and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedUpdate accounts payable and perform reconciliationsProcess payments and match them against open itemsReview expenses, deferral, and accrual entriesUpdate accounts receivable, A/R master data, and perform reconciliationsProcess posting of collections and match them against open itemsAssist in the clearance process of clientsRespond to clients regarding queries about their balance/chargesIssue invoices and ensure proper recordingPost fixed asset and depreciation entriesMonitor warehouse movements and reconcile warehouse data to accounting recordsAssist in the monthly/annual preparation of the balance sheet, income statement, and other financial reportsaccording to IFRS and internal accounting guidelinesAssist in assessing current processes in terms of efficiencyAssist with other accounting projects and/or ad hoc projectsCANDIDATE PROFILEUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, or in any other relevant fieldPrevious working experience in a similar position within an accounting firm or in the house accounting departmentUnderstanding of accounting principles and reporting practicesBasic experience in establishing controlsFluency in the English language, both written and verbal.
