Online Communities is part of the headspace Digital Mental Health Programs, a division of headspace National that provides online support through digital mediums to young people and families across Australia. headspace Online Communities aims to create opportunities for meaningful connections, peer support, and real-time discussions about specific topics with skilled headspace peer workers.About The RoleThe Online Communities team is seeking a peer worker with lived experience supporting a young person through their mental health journey to work alongside other Peer Workers online, to moderate and facilitate the Adults Supporting Young People Peer-Led chat on Wednesday evenings at 6 PM.This role requires the individual to draw on their lived experience to share, connect, and facilitate meaningful discussions with participants, creating a safe and supportive space where participants can share their experiences, connect with others in similar situations, and find the tools and strategies they need for their circumstances.The role involves working with a team of peer workers and requires strong teamwork and engagement during service delivery time to ensure roles and responsibilities are shared and communication channels are strong for effective service delivery.Shifts will be available in the evening from 6 PM, when the Peer Chat is delivered (Wednesday evening). There may also be non-service delivery shifts available during the weekdays as required. Based on availability, there may also be opportunities to join additional peer chats throughout the week (no weekend work).Who We're Looking ForSomeone with strong online communication skills to help build and maintain a robust online community.
