Scope: The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of S2G's daily operations and will be responsible for overseeing various operational activities to meet company goals and objectives.
The primary focus will be on optimizing processes, managing resources, adhering to budgets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
Responsibilities: * Oversee the importation activities and ensure compliance of local import regulations * Manage the performance of the local operation and the effectiveness and productivity of the 3PL * Serve as liaison with our offices, customers, suppliers and internal staff Communicate to all stakeholders the status of the operation, and manage priorities accordingly to avoid operational disruption * Lead and manage the local operation team to ensure they receive the coaching required to continue to grow and develop * Deliver results in alignment with the budget * Ensure customer delivery plans are met * Ensure the security requirements are met in each market * Ensure that there are control and processes in place to comply with the requirements set by our business partners * Maintain a close communication with the regional VP of Operations * Ensure adherence to policies and procedures * Implement a process improvement culture to drive performance Requirements: * Bachelor's degree preferred * 5 years' experience in warehouse operations, distribution, or inventory control positions * Minimum 3 yr. of manager experience within warehouse/distribution environment * Proficient computer skills working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Warehouse Management Systems * Proven record of driving process accuracy through effective operations processes and controls * Proficient in working with Supply Chain Partners to manage and enhance the flow of product and information between vendors, internal teams, and customers * Experience in developing, implementing, executing quality performance standards with proven quality/order accuracy result * Strong/effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization * Team player with strong financial acumen to prepare budgets and analysis * Proven record in meeting/exceeding performance goals based on safety, quality, speed, and operating efficiency * Analytical and planning skills * Ability to be comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on management environment * Must be fully available during the holiday period from October through December
