This is to sustain our culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building relationships within the businessThe TeamThe Schroders Capital Private Equity Product Management team has responsibility for the development of new private equity funds, supporting new fundraising and working closely with Sales, Investment Management, Legal, Operations, as well Product teams from the other investment areas.
We manage new funds from inception, through to launch and the ongoing management and coordination of a fund during fundraising.
It requires a versatile skillset which translates into work that is highly engaging and varied.
Schroders Capital Private Equity is based across multiple offices worldwide.
The Product Management team is primarily based in Zurich, Switzerland but we also have a team member in London.
We work closely with colleagues in other teams based in countries across the globe.
Position OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic individual with 3-5 years of experience in private equity, especially in fund development, project management or business development.
The person hired will have a strong work ethic with a collaborative approach to working with many people across different businesses.
They will need to be well organized and have a problem-solving approach to the work.
There will be high levels of responsibility, multi-tasking and often pressure to deliver in tight timeframes.
Good communication skills are essential.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain considerable experience in private equity, the development of new funds and mandates, preparing marketing materials, coordinates sales campaigns and ultimately on-boarding and servicing investors when they become clients.Responsibilities Support product business development efforts for the US market, including an evergreen private equity tender offer fund.Work closely with the Business Development and Sales teams to support fundraising efforts as well as client enquiries, RFPs and data room management.Lead on the development of marketing efforts and new materials for new funds, including initiatives to help promote private equity funds across institutional investors and wealth management partnersWork in close alignment with Investment Management, Fund Operations, and Legal teams for the development and management of other private equity funds and mandatesPrepare private placement memorandums (PPMs), pitch books, and other materialsPrepare competitor information on products and investment strategies, including comparable performance dataReview and oversight of sales pipeline and CRM systems (Salesforce) to ensure information is up to date and accurate for management reporting purposes Basic Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in private equity, related asset classes or investment fund sales supportGood understanding of Legal and Operational matters relevant to investment fundsGood quality university degree and ideally some form of post graduate qualification such as MBA, CAIA, CFA, MScGood verbal communication skills and ability to form good working relationships internally with colleagues in relevant teams as well as with third-party service providers and investorsExcellent written skills for client communication and drafting of marketing materialsSound financial understanding and at least basic modelling skillsPassion for Private EquityExecution orientedStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood at working in a team, and across teams within Schroders to service clientsFluent in EnglishA good communicator – good written English skillsFlexible, curious and willing to learn, with a strong work ethicSelf-motivated and demonstrate initiativeOrganized, able to work under pressure, on several priorities at once, and with tight deadlines Compensation Schroders offers a base salary in a range of $110,000 to $120,000 for this position.The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
