Job Description


This position will be responsible to provide financial control over the assets and budgets of the assigned project or projects and compliance with the financial policies and provisions established by the company. Deliver reconciliations and executive reports to the project manager and financial planning for the correct decision making.

Job Functions:

- Comply with and permanently supervise compliance with the financial rules and procedures established by the company.
- Timely identify any failure in the controls established for compliance with financial policies in the project and lead the cycle of reporting and development of corrective, preventive and control actions that may take place.
- Frequently train project leaders on financial basics, internal and procedural policies and regulations.
- Review all access and permissions for project staff in relation to the company's ERP.
- Participate together with the project team in the preparation of capital and expense budgets. In the same way, you will have to lead the preparation of the monthly forecast of Capex and expenses.
- Carry out monitoring,
analysis and reporting of the budget execution of the different fronts of the project.
- Hold frequent meetings with each project leader to verify the correct execution of the budget, schedule and pending execution. Actively participate in project progress meetings. Assess delays and advances, risks and opportunities in a timely manner.
- Alert the financial planning area and the project manager in a timely manner and when necessary in the event of deviations from the budget, schedule or compliance with any risk that could represent an economic detriment to the company. Visit work fronts to verify progress, status of assets and relevant items with financial effect.
- Document procedures for proper tracking of costs. Monitor the correct financial management of purchase orders, service orders and contracts by the project leaders. Verify the execution and accounting of capitalizable advances.

- Assist and advise engineering in meetings with suppliers when Engineering requires it. Carry out detailed capitalization of assets, manage their removal or transfer if required. Monitor the correct accounting of costs on the appropriate fronts and classification (Capital/Expenditure) in accordance with current policies and guidelines. Carry out accounting reclassifications and provisions as may be appropriate in accordance with established accounting and financial standards. Properly summarize and reconcile financial information and generate executive reports for financial planning, the project manager and/or the corporate level.
- Advise and permanently accompany the team of project leaders and especially the project manager in decision making and control of costs and budgets.
Assist and advise the front leaders in the analyzes required during the execution of the project.
- Coordinate the preparation and adequate justification of the approval process for supplementary or complementary investments when required. Manage the reclassifications of budgets required between project fronts or between projects.

Qualifications

- 5 years of experience being responsible for the financial control over investment projects (CAPEX)
- Professional degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Knowledge in SAP and Excel is mandatory.
