We're seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Chicago-based appliance business. In this leadership role, you'll handle the full range of financial duties, ensuring everything from invoicing to complex financial reports is managed accurately and efficiently.
The Role
What You'll Do :
- Daily Invoicing : Download shipment invoices, update the invoice tracker, and generate timely invoices for delivered orders.
- Purchase Orders & Bills : Accurately input and manage purchase orders and bills, focusing on vendor details, dates, and rates.
- Bank Reconciliations : Ensure all financial transactions vendor payments and customer receipts are reconciled correctly in QuickBooks.
- Warranty Claims Management :
Manage extended warranty documentation, making sure all claims are processed smoothly.
- Collections Oversight : Actively follow up with customers on overdue payments, ensuring payments are collected on time.
- Inventory & Pricing Management : Update inventory pricing data daily and handle credit requests with efficiency.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly financial reports, profit reports, and commission calculations to support informed decision-making.
Ideal Profile
Who You Are :
- Seasoned Bookkeeper / Accountant : You have experience managing the financials of a business, ideally within the appliance industry.
- QuickBooks Expert : You're highly skilled with QuickBooks Desktop and Excel, with experience in IAC Dealer Order Portal being a plus.
- Detail-Focused : You have an eye for accuracy and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Excellent Communicator : Your strong English communication skills help you manage correspondence with clients and internal teams effectively.
- Independent and Proactive : You're a self-starter who can work independently,
ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
