Job Summary
As a Senior DBA (11213) , you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing the databases within the organization.
Your role will ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases, which are critical for storing, retrieving, and managing data across various applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex database issues, optimize queries, and ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage and maintain DB2 and PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
- Optimize database queries using SQL, PL / SQL (for DB2), and PL / pgSQL (for PostgreSQL).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data needs and implement database solutions.
- Ensure the security and compliance of databases with industry standards and best practices.
- Monitor database performance and implement improvements to optimize efficiency.
- Document database processes, configurations, and any changes implemented.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in DB2 database management, including installation, configuration, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database management, including advanced features and performance tuning.
- Experience with SQL, PL / SQL (DB2), and PL / pgSQL (PostgreSQL).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with cPanel functionalities and server management (DBA#1 specific).
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Certifications (Preferred)
- DB2 certification or equivalent.
- PostgreSQL certification or equivalent.
- Panel Certification (e.g., cPanel & WHM Administrator Certification) (DBA#1 specific).
- Certifications in database management or related fields are a plus.
