Instead of point:tracking and isolated departments, we give the "build team" trust and flexibility to get things done.Product cycles are fixed:time, not fixed:scope, which means we're "scope hammering" along the way to get code out the door. The build team is anticipating, communicating and leveraging our awesome Slack:based Kanban tool. People are remote, work is asynchronous and meetings are only when absolutely needed.Planning works backwards from the deliverable and users are getting quality products in iterations instead of big code drops.As the Principal Software Engineer you'll be working within our microservices architecture, based on the Rails framework. You're an open source guru who will design and implement new systems, introduce new technologies, make calls, take ownershipof the code and get things done.You're a developer at heart, but are also interested in the big picture and care a lot about users. You communicate clearly with colleagues, easily work across teams, and lend a helping hand when needed.
