The Systems Engineering Team Lead will coordinate andmanage a group of Systems Engineers assigned to pre-salesactivities.
Oversees the department responsible for supporting thesales team in providing technical knowledge to clients, evaluatingthe client's existing systems and needs to make recommendations onproducts or services.
Specific SE Team Lead Job Duties : 1.Coordinate and assign activities of Related SE Team. 2. Recruit,hire and retain key engineers within assigned geography, so thesales processes can continue.
3. Maintain a great workingatmosphere that allows personal and professional development toeach one of the team members. 4.
Define and execute a 30 / 60 / 90 daysprocess to employees that perform below the required standard andif needed, let him go of the organization.
5. Manage, in alignmentto Fortinet's defined policies, the business operationauthorizations of his SE Team. 6. First point of contact andcoordinate SE Team of the MAM Organization.
7. Escalate post-salestickets to the TAC organization. 8. Escalate requests to CrossFunctional Teams. 9. Analyze, review and escalate requests to HQSubject Matter Experts of Advanced Technologies, Project Managers,etc.
10. Be the point of escalation for pre and post sales SEactivities to the SE Director. 11. Oversee his SE Team development,included, but not limited to execute, authorize, coordinate : performance reviews, team feedback, hard, soft skills coaching,local and abroad training and technology enablement ofFortinet-related products, sales, pre-sales skills, etc.
12. Definethe MAM SE Team strategy definition. 13. Perform technical,pre-sales and post-sales overview and follow-up meetings withrelevant partners and distributors of the region.
14. Work with theMarketing team to plan,
set and execute the activities needed tofulfill the needs and actions required to have a successful MAM SEteam operation and development strategy.
15. Properly follow-up tothe needs of his team. 16. Send needed reports around projectstatus of their team to his SE Manager.
General Job Duties : 1. Giveproper follow-up to VIP projects and promptly report any advancesor potential issues. 2. Align strategies to properly introduce tothe market new products and ensure sales success from theengineering perspective.
3. Establish, document and enforceprocesses that allow higher efficiency and productivity of thepresales team. 4. Be a spokesperson, appropriately representing thecompany at public conferences, media and partner / Fortinet drivenevents.
5. Work with Corporate and Field Marketing teams,
to helpunderstand specific market needs to drive the appropriateactivities that can impact positively market's perception towardsFortinet.
6. Collaboratively work with peers within Latin America,to work on initiatives specific to the LATAM Market. 7. Developrelationships with customers, partners and corporate organizationsto enhance sales processes and drive customer satisfaction.
8.Continuous self-development regarding fast-paced and changingtechnology to ensure state-of-the-art readiness, both forhim / herself and his / her team.
Required Skills : - 8 years experiencein technical / pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineeringmanager. - Ability to think creatively to develop new solutions toold problems.
- Ability to align engineering processes to salesprocesses. - Ability to create a vision, establish a plan, andensure plan execution through success.
- Ability to coach others. -Strong analytical skills.
- Bilingual : Strong oral and writtencommunication skills, both in Spanish and English.
- Deep technicalknowledge on computer networks and Internet security. - At least 3years of experience working on a pre-sales position (carrying aquota) for a networking or security vendor.
- Exceptionalpresenter. Strong ability to present to audiences of all sizes,either at technical level or management level (up to C-level).
