This is to sustain our culture of innovation, collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building relationships within the businessThe teamThis is an opportunity to work interdependently with an engaged team that sits within a global Operations function at a global asset management firm. Position OverviewSchroders is seeking an Trade Operations Analyst to join our Transaction Operations department. The Transaction Operations department falls under the larger Operations umbrella at Schroders. This role will be part of a the New York Operations Hub which supplements the firm's operations hubs in the United Kingdom and Singapore. We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized individual who is able to work as part of a global team and meet strict deadlines. As the primary focus of this role will be on fixed income portfolios, knowledge/experience with this asset class is desired.Trade Operations OverviewSchroders Trade Operations is responsible for the confirmation, instruction and settlement of derivative, mutual fund, equity, fixed income and foreign exchange trades, instruction of cash payments/receipts, trade advice rendition. You will be ensuring that our equity, fixed income, cash, FX and Unit Trust trades are confirmed on a timely basis, settlement instructions are sent accurately & timely and settlement issues or fails are pro-actively dealt with and resolved. Responsibilities Deliver accurate, timely, compliant and cost effective trade processing servicesEnsure processes and procedures are in place to: Achieve timely confirmation of trades across equity, fixed income, cash, FX and Unit Trust trades and ensure timely issuance of settlement instructions and cash payments/receipts.Identify, record, investigate and resolve trades failing to achieve market settlement by contractual settlement dateRecord, investigate and resolve trade related interest claims and report any associated costs to senior management in a timely manner Provide administrative, transactional based support to others involved in the task of portfolio managementSupport external client queries and ensure that they are investigated and responded to within agreed timelinesContribute to department and Company initiatives and projects as assigned Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred An active interest in the investment management industryPro-active and forward thinking in communications with others Preferred Qualifications Understanding of equity, fixed income and repo asset classesKnowledge of ABS/MBS trade processingThe role is prescribed within a well-established framework. However, the role holder is expected to play an active part in improving day-to-day procedures and how the work is to be tackledAn understanding of market operations and local settlement processesAwareness of the risks associated withing trade operations with a proactive approach to preventative measures Compensation Schroders offers a base salary in a range of $70,000 to $80,000 for this position.The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting.
