Job Opportunity: Professor in Mechatronics EngineeringThe Electrical and Mechatronics Engineering Department at the Universidad de Ingenieria y Tecnologia – UTEC, Lima, Peru, invites applications for a full-time assistant, associate, or full professor in Mechatronics Engineering (https://www.utec.edu.pe/carreras-de-ingenieria/ingenieria-mecatronica).We are especially interested in the following areas, but not limited to:RoboticsMechatronics system designControl of mobile robots and manipulatorsComputer visionPython and ROSDesired courses to be taught are:Foundations of RoboticsIndustrial RoboticsMechatronics System DesignOther undergraduate or graduate coursesOnce hired, the successful candidate will be expected to:Develop and teach courses at the undergraduate levelObtain competitive external fundingEstablish an effervescent cross-disciplinary research programContribute through service to the profession, to the department, and to UTECApplicants having a good scholarly work are encouraged to apply.Minimum Qualifications:PhD degree in mechatronics, robotics, electrical, or relevant field requiredExperience writing journal publicationsExcellent written & oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student bodyExcellent English language skills (Spanish is a plus)Preferred Qualifications:Experience teaching electrical and mechatronics engineering coursesExperience writing grant proposalsDemonstrated interest in working with academic, industry, and/or community partners
