DescriptionThe specific responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:Accurately review, code and process vendor invoicesRequest and follow up on invoice approvalsResearch and resolve invoice discrepancies and issuesManage AP workflow by developing and maintaining an Excel spreadsheetPrepare and process payment runs (e.g., checks, wire transfers, ACH)Assist in managing vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries and reconciling statementsCollect contracts and follow the protocol of setting up new vendors in the accounting systemSupport cash projections by vendor to ensure adequate cash flow planningBuild requested reports in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced functionsCommunicate effectively with vendors, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve accounting issuesEnsure that all incoming invoices are submitted, coded and approved on timePrepare journal entries per manager's requestPerform other duties as required to support the Accounts Payable departmentWhat you need to be successfulBachelor's degree in Business/AccountingKnowledge of accounting and accounts payable practicesStrong mathematical and analytical skillsWell-organized and detail-oriented skillsOracle or Ariba experience is a plusAdvanced computer skills and knowledge of relevant software including MS Excel, Word and OutlookExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExperience collaborating cross-functionally with different business stakeholders, clients, and teams1+ years of relevant accounts payable experienceEqual Opportunity StatementAt TRANZACT we promote inclusion and job insertion without distinction based on disability, gender, orientation, gender identity and expression, place of origin or any other reason protected by national legislation.
