Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled ODA (Official Development Assistance) Local Coordinator to join our team in Lima, Peru. This role involves working closely with the Peru healthcare authority to ensure the successful implementation and management of ODA projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of ODA projects, exceptional language skills including proficiency in English, and a robust knowledge of information technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of ODA projects, ensuring all activities are completed on time and within budget.
- Stakeholder Communication:
Facilitate effective communication between local stakeholders and international partners to ensure project alignment and success.
- Progress Monitoring: Track project milestones, evaluate outcomes, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and developments.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure all project activities adhere to ODA guidelines, regulations, and standards.
- Meeting Facilitation: Conduct regular meetings with project teams and stakeholders to address issues, provide updates, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and implementation of strategic project plans, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectives.
- Reporting: Report regularly to the Project Management Office (PMO) on project status, issues, and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of information technology and its application in healthcare projects.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with government authorities and international organizations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to travel as required.
Preferred Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in coordinating ODA projects or similar development projects.
- Experience working with healthcare authorities in Latin America.
- Knowledge of ODA guidelines and frameworks.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
