Job Description - Data Classification and LabelingAnalyst (Global) (24001293) Position Summary We are seeking ameticulous and detail-oriented Data Classification and LabelingAnalyst to join our Security Engineering and Operations team.
Thesuccessful candidate will be responsible for accurately classifyingand labeling large datasets to support our machine learning anddata analysis initiatives.
A day in the life 1. Refine datadiscovery, classification, and labeling requirements (e.g., datasources, data / file types, integrations).
2. Develop Internal DataProcess / Placement Mapping. 3. Define classification and labelingschema and lifecycle handling policies.
4. Identify gaps in currentsolution (e.g., MS Purview)
and identify additional toolingrequired. 5. Select, implement, and configure solution to scan,map, classify, and label WSP's data holdings.
6. Configure solutionto enable automated and manual sensitive data labeling for M365apps and services (incl. configuring mail flow rules).
7.Prioritize and onboard data sources for scanning (e.g., structured,unstructured data across applications, databases, file shares,cloud storage).
8. Execute scans, build data maps, and tuneclassifications. 9. Develop policies and procedures to communicate,operationalize, and sustain discovery, classification, and labelingcapabilities.
Leadership and People Responsibilities Developpositive working relationships with other team members and businesspartners across teams to align with WSP's internal and externalclient demands.
Provide feedback on the governance process forcontinued improvement. Finance / Budgetary Responsibilities 1.Provide feedback on tooling and identify additional needs.
2. Planfor the expansion of security tools to cover ongoing needs. 3.Evaluation of license usage and potential growth.
What you'll bringto WSP : 1.
7+ years related experience in data management orsimilar position. 2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in InformationTechnology, Computer Science, Engineering, data sciences, orrelated field.
3. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software(e.g., Purview). Familiarity with machine learning concepts is aplus. 4.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail andaccuracy. 5. Experience with IT Governance frameworks such asCOBIT, ITIL, ISO 2700x, NIST.
6. Experience with governance,compliance, and audit within IT environments. 7. Experience in riskmanagement, including risk analysis, mitigation, and monitoring.
8.Knowledge of information security regulations applicable to WSP.What sets you apart : 1. Master's degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, Engineering, data sciences,
