The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.Job Summary:In this role, you will be responsible for the organization and activities relating to construction team and subcontracts, interpreting design drawings and specifications. This role will supervise field verification of materials, providing technical direction to contractors in construction and designing functions relating to electrical and instrumentation engineering in an area of the project.Major Responsibilities:Coordinating with engineering on constructability and design issues and monitors the interfacing between the construction automation plan and the project controls program at the jobsite.Establishing a Design/Field Engineering working relationship and lines of communication with the Project Field Engineer/Area Field Engineer including agreement on engineering deliverables.Being responsible for quantity take-off, control, reporting and forecasting, and ensuring the implementation of project environmental control plan(s) as required.Reviewing and providing input to project controls documents on progress relating to cost and schedule, and material receiving reports and warehousing to assure delivery of correct materials.Developing project construction procedures.Planning and recommending procedures to be implemented by construction contractors to ensure construction operations are within requirements of engineering design and specifications.Maintaining of construction engineering records for job history. Supervises the receiving, distribution and filing of plans and specifications.Implementing controls over variables affecting job progress to ensure engineering and procurement provide timely delivery of drawings, materials, and equipment and to ensure that other corporate programs are fully utilized.Coordinating with the Area Field Engineer/ Lead Electrical FE / Project Field Engineer for any work related to contract administration and activities affecting the contract administration operation.Education and Experience Requirements:This role requires a recognized degree in Electrical/Instrumentation engineering and 8 -10 years of relevant experience in positions related to the role. Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above. Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors.Required Knowledge and Skills:Technical knowledge of all phases of electrical and instrumentation construction team relating to a single or multiple area.Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration.Experience in inspection and certifying electrical equipment, instrument (bulks/commodity) installation by contractors.Experience field work & electrical/loop testing.Knowledge of Peruvian CNE.Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.Knowledge of "Zero Accidents" safety program.Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents.For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of engineers and beyond!
