Apply now and let's build a brighter future together!Position descriptionThe IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for keeping in good health the datacentre infrastructure, servers, operating systems, storages, backup, and virtualization environments. You will work in close cooperation with regional and global teams to design robust infrastructure services to comply with new system requirements, ensuring a structured growth of the technology infrastructure and business continuity. You will also execute on the modernization, standardization, and security agenda of the datacentre infrastructure.What you'll be doing:Design and implement robust/high availability datacentre services following corporate standards.Ensure a proper support and maintenance of servers, operating systems, storages, backups, virtual environments, balancers, applications, among other components of the Terminal's datacentres, preventing unplanned service interruptions to fulfil the agreed SLAs.Plan the growth of the datacentre services to support new business initiatives, proposing and developing innovative solutions to exceed business expectations.Manage the cyber security according to the corporate security standards, to keep the availability, confidentiality and integrity of the datacentre services.Manage suppliers and the contracts to ensure a robust and cost-efficient 24x7 delivery of the services contracted.Manage the IT Infrastructure Risks to be prepared enough to respond quickly and to not provoke big impacts to the operations continuity.Build metrics to measure the availability, performance, and capacity of the datacentre infrastructure, and report on operational status, seeking for continuous improvements.Attend incidents and requests raised by the users and/or reported by the monitoring tools, in close cooperation with regional and global teams.To succeed in this role, we are looking for:Education: Electronic, Systems, Mechatronic or other related engineer degrees.8 years of combined experience in IT infrastructure is required, including server management, datacenters, and technical support.Service-oriented mindset, independent, goal-oriented, and disciplined.Problem-solving focused professional.Proactive, independent, and decisive attitude.Microsoft Certified: Windows Server.VMWare Certified Advanced Professional - VCAP.Storage, and Backup solutions.Azure experience.Knowledge of Solarwinds, O365, Power BI.Advanced written and spoken English language.Experience in maritime, ports, or logistics companies (desirable).A1 license desirable.Learn more about usInterested in a career at APM Terminals?
