Since inception, MSIP has had more than $13 billion in commitments.Job SummaryAs a Plant Manager in Peru, principal responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operations of reverse osmosis water treatment plant(s) and aid in facilitating construction of new water treatment plant(s) as business growth dictates.
Work cross-functionally with Engineering/Project Management, Field Services and Business Development teams to facilitate further growth of the business.
Direct leadership/management of local Operations staff to maximize plant uptime, drive efficiency, and maintain a safe work environment.
An additional vital component of this role is to serve as the local contact with the mine operator regarding all matters.
Detailed duties, responsibilities and qualifications are listed below.ResponsibilitiesLeadership of all plant supervisors and operators – direct supervisory responsibility over entire operationReview/recommend/implement/maintain and lead Environmental Health and Safety initiativesWork with General Manager and business management to prepare budgetary estimates for annual operating costs and resultsReview and approve all expenditures; make decisions on expenditures, operational actions, and requests from the management of the mineEnsure ongoing operating costs fall within budgeted estimates – communicate with General Manager and business management any potential variances to planned operating expense budgetsMake recommendations on Human Resource mattersServe as site leader/coordinator for plant-related projects – lead communication with Peru Operations Support, Field Engineering teams, Design/Engineering, and mine operatorDevelop and refine preventive maintenance plans and lead maintenance and operations activities for plantDrive timely, on-budget project execution – serve as liaison with local sub-contractors, etc.Ensure all preventive maintenance programs are completed on time and documented as suchLead the ongoing training for supervisors and operators on system operation and maintenanceProvide detailed documentation of plant condition(s) and accurate/timely field reportsMake recommendations for system improvements to managementUnderstand drawings including mechanical piping, P&ID's, electrical and general equipmentCreate a safe work environment and maintain clean site appearanceKey skills and QualificationsSkilled in use of computers and Microsoft Office software suiteAbility to fluently read, write and speak Spanish with basic English communication skillsMust possess a passport and clean criminal history in order to obtain work visas and requirements of property owner where plant is locatedMust be able to read, understand and make good use of process and instrumentation drawingsEducation and ExperienceMinimum five years of experience in leading the operation of a water plantExperienced in construction, operation, and maintenance of water plant systemsUniversity degree (Engineering or Business) or technical school education preferredPhysical RequirementsMust be physically fit and capable of physically working on equipment mentioned above; may sometimes require prolonged standing, walking, and exposure to adverse weather conditions, as well as lifting up to fifty pounds.Must be capable of bending and stooping, along with crawling between equipment and pipes.How to ApplyWe recognize that our people are our strength and the diverse talents they bring to our global workforce are directly linked to our success.
